Meditation and it’s potential

In addition to music, Aana teaches meditation, with a focus on the Theravada tradition, which she has studied and practiced over the past 30 years in Europe, the USA, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.

Meditation, in her understanding, is not limited to formal practice. It gradually transforms one’s behavior, perception, and relationship to daily life. Through ongoing purification, the practitioner becomes less identified with objects, thoughts, and roles, allowing a natural capacity to let go and to rest in the clear, pristine presence of the natural mind.

Through meditation, clarity grows. You begin to see how things are connected, make decisions with greater ease, and live in greater harmony with yourself and the world around you. Over time, a deep and steady happiness unfolds—one that does not depend on outer conditions. In detail:

Mindfulness training

Enhances teamwork and sensitivity in relation to oneself and others. Supports skillful engagement with difficult emotions and bodily sensations (such as fear, anger, pain), addictive patterns (smoking, substances, eating, etc.), and the recognition of one’s own needs as well as those of others. Forms the basis for non-judgmental, non-violent communication.

Focus / Concentration meditation

Provides access to pure, non-evaluative perception. Fosters deep connection with oneself and with nature, experiences of joy and ecstasy, profound calm and stability, as well as trust and confidence.

Contemplation / Insight meditation

Brings clarity of understanding and strengthens discernment. Enables recognition of relationships and natural laws such as cause and effect, impermanence, and change. Cultivates responsibility, self-awareness, the ability to perceive others clearly, a sense of meaning, and proactive engagement with life.

Heart opening meditation

Develops empathy, compassion, appreciative joy, kindness, goodwill, and equanimity. Strengthens self-esteem, resilience under pressure, emotional stability, peacefulness, conflict competence, teamwork skills, and the ability to enter states of flow.
